The Bengal Library Association is going to celebrate its hundred years between 20th December, 2024 – 20th December, 2025. The inaugural ceremony will be held on 20th December, 2024 in the Centenary Auditorium, Asutosh Siksha Prangan, University of Calcutta (College Street Campus).

A Three-Day International Seminar (20-22 December, 2024) will be organized by the Association in collaboration with University of Calcutta in the Centenary Auditorium, Asutosh Siksha Prangan, University of Calcutta (College Street Campus). The Seminar topic will be:
Theme-I: Role of Library Associations in Library Movement in the Country
Theme-II: Media and Information Literacy (MIL): Challenges and Prospects in the 21st Century
Interested are requested to send papers on the themes and sub-themes of the seminar. Please go through the attachment in this notification

The Classes of Certificate in Library Science, Week-end Session, 2024-25 will be commenced from 23rd November, 2024 at 1.30 PM. The Inaugural Ceremony will be held on 22nd November, 2024 at 5.00 PM in the Association Building at Padmapukur, Kolkata-700014. Students are requested to attend the ceremony in time.
